Joseph Azevada Elementary School, home of Fremont Unified School District’s Mandarin Immersion Program, opened four new, energy efficient classrooms from Project Frog.

Totaling 3,840 square feet, the new building is designed to CHPS standards and utilizes green materials. The classrooms and science labs feature large windows and clerestories to provide the best natural lighting, and superior acoustics with insulated walls to reduce sound intrusion and reverberation. Each room also includes a sink station to facilitate a variety of hands-on assignments.

This is one of the first new construction projects to be completed under Fremont Unified School District’s $650 million Measure E bond.
